The Catholic Church has hailed the government's ICT programme in schools adding that all schools under the church's sponsorship will comply with it.
Catholic Diocese of Nakuru Bishop Maurice Muhatia said the programme is a noble one as far as technological development is concerned.
Speaking on Saturday at Christ The King Girls' during the Nakuru Diocesan Education Day, the clergy said all Catholic schools will comply with the programme.
"The government is trying the much it can in the education sector and we as the Catholic Church, we will support noble initiatives like currently the ICT," he said.
Bishop Muhatia who is also the chair, Education Committee Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops insisted that the church shall continue to work closely with the government to ensure wholistic education to all.
He, however, called on the county government of Nakuru to ensure that more ECD teachers are employed as the sector falls under its jurisdiction.
"I have only one appeal to the government that the shortage of ECD teachers should be addressed, "he added.
He also called on teachers and students to ensure integrity, adding that there is no genuine success in shortcuts.
