Speaking at Mbusyani RGC Church during its 30 year Anniversary, Kitonga said he was shocked that people find it easy to insult the head of state. 

''It is very wrong when people abuse the president to the extent of calling him ‘stupid,'' he said, citing incident where Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo insulted president Uhuru Kenyatta.

He said even though the Constitution allowed for freedom of speech, it had not given anyone the right to insult the office of the president. 

He also asked the Kenyans to respect church leaders and honour them.
