In a statement to the media on Sunday, Korir raised concerns over what he termed as continued hate mongering among some politicians.

The Bishop said that hate speech being perpetuated by some politicians threatens the country’s stability.

“The Judicial systems and processes should be hastened to ensure that anyone who engages in hate mongering is dealt with according to the law,” said Bishop Korir.

The Bishop said that hate mongering was creating anxiety and rising political temperatures.

Korir said the country cannot not afford to experience another violence.

He urged Kenyans to keep off from politicians who engage in hate speech. Korir urged politicians to engage in constructive politics and focus on uniting the country ahead of the 2017 election.
