An Athi River Town based clergy has lauded Mavoko Member of Parliament, Patrick Makau, for fighting for the rights of his constituents.
Speaking to this writer at Athi River Town on Monday, Bishop Nicholas Muli of Champion of Christ International Church, said the legislature is very kind and full of humanity.
"There are only a few constituencies across the country benefiting from public funds alongside other resources from the national government like Mavoko does. It all depends with the leadership," said Bishop Muli.
Muli said it is not easy for the common mwananchi to benefit from government resources especially in areas like Mavoko Constituency, which are politically opposed to the Jubilee administration.
The bishop praised Makau for being strong and ensuring his constituents benefit from State resources.
"1,000 people living with disabilities in Mavoko Constituency were given Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) ATM cards to enable them access their monthly allowances through the cash transfer programme," said Bishop Muli.
Muli urged the residents to consider re-electing the MP in the forthcoming 2017 polls in a bid to ensure continuous development in the constituency.
