Most politIcians in the country have been linked to depending on witchcraft to attain competitive political positions in the country.
According to Bishop Mark Kariuki of the Deliverance Churches of Kenya, these politicians have lost their trust in God and have heavily relied on the black magic to retain their seats over a course of time.
"A lot of Kenyan politicians have resorted to witchcraft to try and attain competitive political positions in the country. Once they have won, they continue relying on the black magic to retain their positions," said Bishop Kariuki.
The bishop nonetheless has called on all Kenyans, both politicians and their supporters, to put the country in prayers to avoid a repeat of the post election violence witnessed in 2007.
"The country needs prayers in this electioneering period. This will help avoid a repeat of what happened after the 2007 elections where the country plunged into violence," added Bishop Kariuki.
The bishop has also invited Kenyans for a prayer session at Uhuru Park on Saturday July 22, to pray for the country, over August polls.
