The Nakuru Apostolic Faith Church in Nakuru has petitioned all the MPs to support the proposed security bill saying its implementation will help curb insecurity in the county.
According to Bishop Abraham Kamau, all the leaders should unite and ensure that they lobby support for the bill which, if it is passed, will help in preventing terror attacks in the country.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday in Nakuru town, Bishop Kamau said that it was very unfortunate that Kenyans in Lamu, Mandera, Wajir and Garissa continued to lose their lives to terror attacks and yet we have the security personnel.
"All the leaders, be it those in government or those in opposition should come together and support the security bill for quick development. Currently investors are very afraid of doing their investments here due to insecurity," Bishop Kamau said.
Bishop Kamau urged the politicians to stop politicising the security of the country adding that some of the politician's statements may cause conflicts in the economic, political and social development of the country.
"The church leaders should also fully support the security bill and also educate the public on it," he said.
