The former cabinet minister in the Moi regime has castigated those who repeatedly peddled the lies and rumours about his death last week.

On Saturday, Biwott ‘ressurected’ and spoke to journalists at an Eldoret’s exclusive members club and at a wedding ceremony held at Kipsaos Boys Secondary School.

Biwott said he was angered by the “false and malicious posts” that appeared on various social sites including a local TV’s social media post.

“I am fine and in good health,” said Biwott as quoted by the Nation.

At the time, Biwott was with his aide William Chepkut, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Keiyo South MP Jackson Kiptanui.

Biwott’s ‘death’ follows similar trends where the late Njenga Karume Lucy Kibaki and others were pronounced dead in a similar manner.

The Nation Media Group dismissed one of its employees who posted about Karume’s death while he was still alive.
