Many of the roads in Gusii region are in a bad condition and good and better ones can only be realised if County leaders and Members of parliament work together to rehabilitate them.
Some of the roads are in bad shape because county leaders claim that the roads should be constructed by the national government (Members of parliament) and some of Mps claim that such roads should be constructed by county government.
This push and pull mentality can't help Gusii residents let both governments work together and change the shape of the roads in the region.
According to my opinion, these leaders should not deceive residents that certain roads are under county government or under national government let both of them work together to rehabilitate such roads for easy transport in the region.
In Kitutu Chache South some of the roads are in very bad condition one of them is the Kisii-Nyamataro road which hinders the transport sector.
When the area Mp was asked to take action and construct the road he claimed that the road should be constructed by the county since it is near to Kisii town for how long are we going to face such claims?
If the Member of parliament asked to construct the roads and the road is under county no need to inform residents that it should be constructed by the county government let the Mp go to county government and ask for the construction to take effect if it is really under the county.
