According to Mr Wetangula, the ruling coalition has failed to deliver the promises made to Kenyans during the 2013 election campaigns and have now resorted to the culture of blame games to defend their 'failures.'

He added that Kenyans gave President Uhuru Kenyatta and his team the opportunity to serve them not to keep on complaining and pointing accusing fingers at the opposition which he says is constitutionally mandated to put checks on the government.

He also said the fact that Uganda and South Sudan have decided to construct their own pipelines is a manifestation of bad leadership that the country is under.

"Blaming people does not solve your problems. Your neighbours are running away from you due to bad leadership," said Mr Wetangula who is also Cord coalition co-principal.

The former foreign affairs minister further said their decision to call for dialogue with the government is not because of their weakness but rather because of their patriotism.

Regarding the issue of Identity Cards issuance, the Bungoma senator said government should expedite the process of issuing ID's to all Kenyans who have attained the constitutional age of 18 years.
