Presidential candidate Abduba Dida has been dealt a blow after police declined to provide him 20 security guards as he had requested.

The police have instead offered him two guards.

The retired secondary school teacher has also sent away the two GSU officers sent to him by the government to protect him as he campaigns for presidency.

Dida, who is trying his second chance to the highest office on land after failing in 2013, has vowed to move to court to petition inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet, to increase security officers attached to him.

The presidential candidate has also requested the government to provide vehicles to the police officers attached to him.
