Kenya Premier League side Bandari FC have suffered a major blow following the exit of their talismanic striker Edwin Lavatsa who has joined 2016 KPL champions Tusker FC on a three-year deal. The lanky forward was instrumental for the Dockers in the 2017 campaign where he netted seven goals to aid the club to a top ten finish. However, he moved to the Brewers on Friday ending speculations over his future that continued to hang in the balance following the exit of former tactician Paul Nkatah who preferred him upfront."We reached an agreement with Bandari and Lavatsa is now our player. He has signed a three-year contract and we believe he will improve the team. It's also an opportunity for him to reestablish himself, he has the talent to flourish here," said Tusker CEO Charles Obiny.Lavatsa has previously featured for Kenyan giants Gor Mahia as well as Mathare United and has also played for national soccer side Harambee Stars.
His move to Tusker is expected to bolster the team's goal-scoring ability considering their last season's struggles in front of goal that saw them surrender their league title to Gor Mahia as well as the GOtv shield which they exited in the quarterfinals. Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
