Cord suffered a blow, Thursday, after Jubilee MPs approved amendments to the contentious Election Laws 2015.
This is after the Cord lawmakers walked out of the National Assembly chambers, protesting passing of the amendements, leaving Jubilee MPs in session.
With their numerical numbers, Jubilee took advantage of the situation and passed the amendments, which will allow manual voting and transmission of election results in the 2017 polls.
According to the Cord MPs, the re-introduction of the manual transmission of election results was prone to manipulation.
The opposition legislators took to streets and headed to Milimani Law Courts where they had already lodged a complaint on the legality of the special sitting that was convened by Speaker Justin Muturi.
High Court Judge David Odunga later temporarily suspended the outcome of the session.
