Garissa County Governor Nathif Jama has suffered a massive political blow at a time when the country has ushered in the electioneering year.
In a media briefing session held at the Almond Hotel, Garissa gubernatorial aspirant Omar Gabey and several elders from the Aulyahan community strongly refuted the claims that their community has already cleared the candidacy of Jama as the sub-clan's preferred candidate for the top most seat in the county.
They in one tone, distanced themselves from the declaration that made headlines several weeks ago, pledging their full support for Gabey.
Going by the political developments in the county, it is obvious that the incumbent Jams will have a hard time seeking reelection given the negative feedback emanating from dominant communities in the county.
