Unsettled Borabu MP Ben Momanyi is set to rejoin Orange Democratic Movement as 2017 elections looms.
The Wiper MP decamped ODM in 2013 after losing in closely contested ODM primaries to businessman Patrick Osero whom he eventually beat in general elections.
Speaking at his Borabu backyard in presence of ODM leader Raila Odinga, Momanyi said he was considering moving ‘home’ because he is still loved in the party.
“Jakom (Raila Odinga) I want to assure you that I will be coming home soon because I am still loved there. That is where I belong and I believe it’s not yet late. The party is doing very well in our region and that is a fact,” he said.
“I am sure the small issues we had in 2013 have been solved and this time round the voice of the people will be respected. I am also sure that Nyanza will produce the next president so I won’t be left behind,” Momanyi added.
Mr. Momanyi is a longtime ally of Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and is facing stiff challenge from Mr. Osero and philanthropist Dr. Nyandoro Kambi.
