The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has said that only one agent per candidate will be allowed at each polling station on August 8.
This comes after Nasa presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, said the opposition will deploy 10 agents to every polling station to curb rigging.
With 46 days to August 8, police wrote to IEBC chief executive Ezra Chiloba to clearly advise, helping them to plan, provide security and prevent violence.
The government wants to know how 41,000 polling stations will be manned, lest there be mobs and chaos.
IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati has said only one agent per candidate will be accredited to prevent chaos.
Raila has on several occasions alleged that their rivals, Jubilee, are planning to rig the elections.
He claims that the government is training military forces for the polls to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta remains in power.
