Barely two days after defection of a number of its leaders from the coast to rival Jubilee party, has the ODM party yet again lost Patrick Osero, a close ally of DP William Ruto.
Until his defection to Jubilee, Osero has been in crossroads despite losing narrowly to Ben Momanyi of Wiper in Borabu parliamentary race on an ODM ticket.
Having lost his initial job as Agricultural Financial Cooperation chair, Osero, who was linked with grabbing land grabbing, was however appointed by Tourism Finace Cooperation.
“I have consulted in length and I have resolved to join Jubilee Party,” said Osero on Monday without giving many details.
His defection now leavers ODM with Dr. Nyandoro Kambi, who has since registered as a life member of the party.
Despite Deputy President William Ruto showing interest in wooing incumbent Ben Momanyi, Momanyi has maintained that he will defend his seat on Wiper ticket.
Borabu constituency is a perceived ODM stronghold and Mr. osero lost with a ,margin of 1200 votes to his rival despite the constituency voting overwhelmingly for Raila Odinga.
