Chances for former Kenyan international Arnold Origi to join English Premier League side Crystal Palace were blown after the club confirmed their preference for Spanish boy Vicente Guita.

The 34-year-old Origi was set to join on a free transfer after his Norwegian team Lillestrom SK released him to pursue greener pastures.

This was a double blow as Lillestrom are said to have already captured the signature of new keeper Estonian Matvei Igonen to replace him.

The Kenyan was instrumental for Lillestrom in the 2017 season as they wrapped up the year with a win in the Norway Cup after they beat Sarpsborg 3 – 2 in the finals.
