The Orange Democratic Party has been dealt a major blow after more than 10 Mombasa MCAs decamped from the party.Addressing journalists on Thursday, the MCAs said they decamped from the Raila Odinga-led party to Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper side due to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho's poor leadership. They vowed to ensure Joho is not re-elected, adding that they will back Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar for the seat.Speaking on behalf of the ward reps, Mikindani MCA Duncan Onyango accused Raila of failing to address their concerns over Joho's leadership style, which they termed as dictatorial.“We tried having an audience with our party leader Raila Odinga, but he refused to listen to our pleas. Some people like Mohammed Hatimy, a nominated MCA, are planting aspirants in all wards. We won't allow it. Mr Rajwai is with us on this journey and more will decamp,” said Onyango, as quoted by kenyans.co.keOthers who ditched the Orange party include Jabess Oduor (Kongowea), Enock Mwinga (Mwakirunge), Khamis Mwabashiri (Mjambere) and Riziki Fundi (Bamburi).
