Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, who is allied to National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition, has revealed that she intends to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking on Monday during a tour in Kitui, Ngilu said that she intends to work with Uhuru in order to assist residents.
Speaking while touring Ndengu farms in Kitui Rural and Kitui Central sub-counties, Governor Ngilu stated that her agenda aligned with the Jubilee leaders plan for achieving food security in the country.
“President Kenyatta has been championing for water provision and food security as key in Jubilee government’s development agenda for the nation. Water and food are my priorities too.
“For that reason, I am going to reach out to him so that we can discuss how we can work together towards realizing adequate water supply and sufficient food not only for Kitui but also the rest of Kenya,” she announced.
Ngilu said that she intends to reach out to Uhuru during the burial of former Kitu West MP Francis Nyenze.
Nguilu’s sentiments come after Turkana governor Josephat Nanok said that he will work with the Jubilee leadeship in order to benefit his county.
NASA has vowed not to recognize the presidenty of Uhuru on the grounds that he was not elected by the whole country.
Leader Raila Odinga has said that he will be sworn-in as the People’s President.
