NASA leader Raila Odinga has yet again lost more than ten leaders from Kajiado county, who have since defected to President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee party.
Leaders who were previously affiliated with NASA vowed to campaign for Uhuru in the October 17 polls, claiming that Odinga is selling them hot air.
Led by Kajiado ODM chair Daniel Osoi, the more than 10 leaders cited frustrations meted on them by Odinga. They claimed Raila had failed to consult and involve them on key political issues and instead chose to work with a few individuals.
Osoi also claimed they have repeatedly used their own resources to campaign for Odinga since 1992 yet they have never benefited from doing so. They also alleged that Odinga did not reach out to them to strategise on way forward.
“Since 1992, I have been a loyal supporter of ODM but I have not managed to clinch a single development project for my people. Raila has been frustrating us as he is not accessible to discuss important issues,’’ said Osoi.
However, the leaders rubbished claims that they had been bought by Jubilee to sing pro-Uhuru anthems.
