President Uhuru Kenyatta has been dealt a blow just 27 days to the August 8 polls.
This is after the death of key political figure in Rift valley and former powerful cabinet minister Nicholas Biwott.
Biwott died, Tuesday morning, July 11, 2017 at his Kileleshwa home after a long illness.
Until his death, the former Keiyo South MP was the leader of the National Vision Party (NVP).
NVP last year declared to support Uhuru’s re-election but refused to dissolve to join Jubilee party.
The late Biwott said his party supported the leadership offered by Jubilee Party under the leadership of president Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
Biwot has worked alongside Kenya’s first 3 presidents and died at age 77.
