Meru Governor Peter Munya is contemplating to support opposition leader Raila Odinga due to ‘arrogance’ exhibited by people close to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The former Chairman of CoG is facing stiff competition from a host of candidates among them Senator Kiraitu Murungi.
And in his latest move at Imenti on Monday, Munya threatened to withdraw his support saying he would as well do without Kenyatta.
“I can’t be harassed all the time yet I have options. Jubilee people are busy tainting my name instead of selling their agenda to people,” said the PNU leader.
He added: “I have options and I can as well support NASA. These kind of politics Jubilee team is deploying cannot intimidate me anymore.”
During his tour to the region, Kenyatta kept off local politics adding that locals were at liberty to choose leaders whom the dim fit.
Lately, the region is said to be swaying towards opposition NASA and has been making inroads to the region.
