President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party has been dealt with another blow after nominated Senator Paul Njoroge joined KANU, accusing Jubilee of having [preferred candidates.
Njoroge, who hails from Nakuru County, accused Jubilee leadership of having predetermined aspirants in 2017 elections.
Speaking to the Media on Wednesday, Njoroge said he would contest Nakuru Gubernatorial seat on a KANU ticket.
“I will be contesting Nakuru gubernatorial seat on a KANU ticket because Jubilee has already shown its preferred candidates in 2017 polls,” he said.
‘They cannot even hold free and fair elections to choose party leaders because they already have preferred candidates. I am confident that in KANU, I will be the next governor,” he said.
Njoroge’s move comes after the Jubilee Party experienced chaos across the country during election of various leaders to the party top county positions.
