The Jubilee Party has yet again been subjected to another blow after Narok West MP Patrick Ntutu announced his defection.
Ntutu, who is set to challenge Narok Governor Samuel Tunai, did not immediately reveal his next destination.
He made the announcement on Tuesday at Trans Mara West Sub-County adding that his decision was informed by consultations with his constituents.
"My people advised me not to contest in Jubilee primaries. They believe that I will be shortchanged by Tunai and I have to respect their decision," he said.
Ntutu however, pledged to work with Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto and Emurua Dikir MP Yohanna Ng'eno, who have been critics of Jubilee administration.
He urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to ask votes from the region as a person and avoid using 'brokers'.
"The president should know that things may not be the same again. He should face people directly before time elapses," he said.
