President Uhuru Kenyatta has turned from a hero to villain after a series of defections hit his party with only six months to elections.

Last year, Uhuru’s political star glittered when he received a host of politicians allied to ODM joined his political pact.

But on Friday, Kenyatta was dealt a blow after Tharaka Nithi Governor Samuel Ragwa with a host of other leaders joined Narc- Kenya.

“Jubilee has lost direction and it is likely to lose support across the country. Few egocentric people are pursuing their personal agendas and we cannot allow that,” he said without disclosing his preferred presidential candidate.

Elsewhere, in the Northern part of the country, ODM leader Raila Odinga ushered in Turkana Central MP John Lodepe at Lokichar, who until his defection was a point’s man of DP William Ruto from the region.

“The signs are clear that the regime has lost support. People are dying of hunger and this could escalate. Everything is messy and we have to join the winning team,” he said.

And on Thursday, former Assistant Minister Raphael Wanjala revealed plans to defect to ODM saying that Odinga is set to receive him formally this coming week.

Jubilee was dealt a blow on Monday when two Ambassadors, Sam Ongeri and Chirau Makwere joined ODM party during different colorful rallies across the country.
