Jubilee party points man from Gusii region Joash Maangi says he has no problem working with the Orange Democratic Party, months after ditching it for Jubilee.
He was among ten ODM leaders who were expelled by the party’s disciplinary committee, a decision which he has since appealed.
And on Friday, the Kisii County Deputy Governor admitted that the Orange party was the pillar behind his political success while addressing residents of Marani Sub-County.
“I am a flexible politician and I always work with everyone. I have not gone against the ideals of ODM because the party supports social democracy,” he said.
Maangi added: “Sometimes situations makes someone look for ways of helping his people but we have developed a culture of vilifying such people. ODM made me who I am and I won’t underrate my party.”
Until his controversial remarks, Maangi, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, has been pushing for Jubilee agenda in a region perceived to be opposition stronghold.
