The Constituency Development Fund National board has proposed increment of CDF allocations to constituencies to spur development in all corners of the country.
This statement was made by Joseph Mburo, a member of the board who disclosed that they have already prepared a proposal request on the same to present to treasury for approval.
"We as members of the board appreciate the role that Constituency Development Fund has played in ensuring development in grass roots hence need for its increment," said Mburo.
Mburo, who spoke to press in Mavoko Constituency on Saturday said the fund allocation to the constituencies all over the nation was inadequate.
He said the Sh6 billion fund allocation in the current budget for all the constituencies in Kenya had however changed livelihoods, and improved infrastructures in a number of constituencies.
The officer who had been hosted by the area Member of Parliament, Patrick Makau, urged members of the national assembly to take a motion to parliament for increment of the fund allocation.
He asked constituents of Mavoko to support CDF projects and initiatives in the region by working closely with the area MP's office, in a bid to realise of the fund's objectives.
