Residents of Bogusero ward in Kitutu Chache South have raised concerns over a recent upsurge of cases related to crime in the area.
This comes just a day after two people were attacked and robbed of their valuables on Thursday evening.
"We suspect that the people behind the crime are idling youths within the locality which is very dangerous for us locals," said Benjamin Keragori, a resident.
The residents pleaded with the area assistant Chief Simon Mbwayo to intervene and ensure upcoming criminal gang in the area are flushed out.
“The area chiefs should move with speed and ask police officers to intensify patrols in the area so that the criminals can run away from the area before we start searching for the criminals one by one and kill them. Lives of people and their property should be respected,” said Abel Machuka.
The locals were speaking on Friday morning at Nyagancha shopping center.
