Two gangsters shot and killed a 28 year old boda boda rider and injured a passenger the rider was ferrying at Kambi ya Juu, Isiolo town on Saturday night.
The boda boda rider is said to have been shot in the stomach three times.
The passenger, who suffered a fracture on his left leg, was taken to Kirua mission Mospital in Meru County for treatment.
The county police commander Charles Ontita said the officers are searching for the robbers who were armed with AK47 rifles.
"Police officers have launched investigations into the case and are searching for the culprits", said the police boss.
The boda boda rider's body was moved to Isiolo county referral hospital.
