Bodaboda operators in Kisumu County took to the street to protest insecurity within the county following the killing of their colleague at Tom Mboya estate on Thursday night.
Their colleague was killed and his motorbike stolen.
According to Jacob Ahanda one of the operator’s leader, they are suffering in the hands of criminals with their colleagues being murdered as others' motorbikes are being stolen.
Ahanda said they found the deceased only named as Paul on Friday morning with deep cuts on the body.
The operators blamed police officers for failing to provide security within the county.
They said they have lost 10 lives and several motorbikes since July.
The operators who were singing and carrying pluck cards went to the gate of the county government office where they demanded to be addressed by the Governor Jack Ranguma.
This attempt was futile as they were told that the governor was not around.
Police later intervened and told them investigations will be done and culprits brought to book.
