A bodaboda operator was on June 29 seriously injured after he was attacked by his two customers in Sofia, Matuu in Yatta sub-county.
The two men turned out not to be customers and violently attacked him.
According to the bodaboda operator, the two seemed to be good customers asking to be ferried to Sofia from Matuu town.
He said that he was shocked after he realised what the two men were after.They ordered him to halt the motorbike before they arrived Sofia market threatening to kill him.
"I could not believe what was happening. I tried to use force and escape with my motorbike after which their hostility turned into a fight and beat me up," he said.
They then escaped with the motorbike leaving him groaning in pain.
He had sustained major injuries on his head, hands and one of his legs.
He was helped by passersby who immediately reported the matter to Matuu police station and rushed him to Matuu level four hospital as investigations to arrest the suspects begin.
