Police have arrested a boda boda operator in Kiganjo, Nyeri County, for stabbing his colleague over a motorcycle radio, on August 15, 2016.
Danford Kabange Mwangi (witness) said the attacker confronted Emmanuel Hamisi (victim) in the morning demanding to know why he had not returned his radio when he drew a knife and stabbed Hamisi in the chest.
The attacker is said to have then run to hide at a drug store after the public charged at him to avenge the assault.
Police later whisked him away from the store took him to the Kiganjo Police Station.
He will be presented in court on Wednesday.
“Once we collect all statements the suspect will be taken to court as required by the law,” the area police boss said.
Two police officers were injured by a mob that was trying to lynch the attacker by hurling stones at them, something which forced the officers to use tear gas and shot to disperse the angry mob.
