Chairman, Bodaboda Association Naivasha East and Biashara ward Joseph Muriuki said that Kinamba-Maraiguchu Road is in a very bad condition as it has not been rehabilitated due to leadership wars.

Speaking on phone Tuesday, Muriuki said that the onset of the rainy season has spelt pout low business for them as major roads in the area are impassable when it rains.

“Kinamba-Maraiguchu road is in a very bad condition and there is no solution to end the problem because Waithuki (MCA Naivasha East) tries to rehabilitate it, some other people come and campaign with it yet it is not their work,” he said.

“Because of such things happening, you will find that no road is being rehabilitated because there is that push and pull between the MP and the county government and we are the people who are losing now,” he said.

Most people in this area use bodaboda as their main form of transport to get into the interior.

The operators are calling for sobriety between the county government and the national government in handling matters road construction in Naivasha as continued disagreement will hurt their business.
