Kabete bodaboda operators have been urged to maintain the shades set aside for them and avoid parking along the roads as they risk causing accidents and traffic congestion.

Speaking in a meeting in Kabete grounds on Tuesday, the chairman of one of the bodaboda operators' Saccos Mr Francis Muthurwe said county bodaboda shades were being neglected and some food vendors were setting up businesses there which was not right.

The chairman said the shades were being misused and that should stop, adding that Sacco managements should ensure all bodaboda operators within their Sacco utilise the county projects and avoid causing congestion and accidents along the road.

"We should utilise what the county government provided for us. We are privileged that the county government recognised our business and set aside a budget for us. We should show our gratitude by using the shades in the right manner," said Muthurwe.

He said the food vendors who have set up businesses in the sheds should be kicked out and asked the bodaboda operators to resume parking their bikes in the sheds.
