Transport and business activities came to a standstill on Wednesday after bodaboda operators blocked the road in the town.
Vehicles plying on Kangundo road were forced to find alternative means to reach their destinations lest they face stoning by the bodaboda operators.
Led by Tala Market chair lady Ann Kyalo they decried harassment of bodaboda operators by county askaris at barrier points and poor roads in the market.
They requested Matungulu sub-county administrator Victor Kiatu to avail himself and address them.
Mrs Kyalo said they are not going to move an inch and they could even consider blocking the road for two consecutive days until the administrator addresses them.
"We are not bulging until Mr Kiatu avails himself and addresses us even if we will be forced to do this for two days," said Katile.
