They have accused the county officers of demanding bribes when they arrest them in order to grant them freedom.

Speaking on Sunday at Daraja Mbili market bodaboda stage, the operators said that the officers work even on weekends something that has made them be afraid since government offices do not operate on weekends.

"How comes county council officers work over the weekend in town. Public officers are opened on weekdays, the money they demand from us in form of a bribe, where do they take it?" argued Abel Ongeri.

Elijah Nyaanga said that soon the operators are going to protest to seek an address from the county boss over the matter.

"We are in a process organising a protest in town soon. We need to give our grievances to Governor Ongwae concerning the officers who ask for bribes from us yet we pay monthly revenues to the county," he said.

He added that if the officers will not stop, they will attack them with kicks and blows for peace on roads to reign.
