Bodaboda operators in Likoni, Mombasa County, took to the streets on Tuesday to demonstrate against mistreatment by police officers and traffic inspectorate.
The irate operators spent the better part of the morning hooting and chanting slogans through the streets, declaiming their supposed tormentors.
"We have been patient with the government agencies for a long time. It is high time we the operators stand up and say enough is enough," said an operator who sought anonymity.
"Police officers keep harassing us and even go to the extent of beating us. At times they even arrest us for no reason. We are urging the government to quickly intervene and resolve this,” he added.
