Those operating in areas around but not limited to Kiamokama, Masimba, Chirichiro, Mwembe, Birongo and other surrounding areas have been urged to ensure they enroll for courses in different polytechnics, or risk being arrested.

This decision was reached upon during a public meeting that brought together different leaders, including the traffic police officers, area administration officers and representatives of the road operators in Kisii.

They have now been urged to ensure they enroll in different driving courses, which will enable them to have the expertise needed.

This is after the increase of bodaboda-related accidents rose alarmingly in the area, with many of them as a result of reckless riding and inexperience from the riders.

The accidents peaked during the festive season, with numbers even across the country hitting an all-time high during the period.

Hundreds of people perished on the roads, prompting the president to order NTSA off the road and directing the involved agencies to ensure they find a solution to the menace on the Kenyan roads.
