The operators have said that they risked their lives parking at the road sides waiting for customers.

The operators challenged the elected leaders to keep the promises that they made to them when they wanted to be elected.

The Sironga Bodaboda operators’ secretary, Alphayo Stara said that they went through a lot of challenges just going about their daily business.

Stara said that many bodaboda operators were involved in accidents because they had no place to park their bikes. He blamed this on the elected leaders who fail to keep their promises.

Stara added that the elected leaders promised to build them shades for parking but when they were elected into office, they forgot about bodaboda operators.

Stara said that the leaders promised to train them and help them get licenses but they are now nowhere to be seen.

“Our leaders asked us get some money to help us get training and licenses, we got the money and we have it in our kitty but they are nowhere to do their bit of the bargain. They keep making false promises and disappearing,” Stara said.

The operators’ called on the county government to repair the Sironga stage and to help build them a shade for their motorbikes.
