Kisii Town Bodaboda Savings and Credit Cooperative Organisation Chairman Casper Maina has said all bodaboda riders in Kisii town are going to be registered afresh to fight crime in Kisii town.
Maina said there are some bodaboda riders in Kisii town who come to operate in the town and are involved in crime cases and there is a need for them to get registered afresh.
Speaking to journalist in Kisii town on Monday, Maina challenged all bodaboda operators in Kisii town to carry their log book, national ID and a letter from the location chiefs to get registered and start operating in town and its environs.
“We are registering the boda-boda operators a fresh here in Kisii town because some of them come and engage in crime cases one of the boda-boda rider involved in crime at Daraja Mbili when two ladies were shot dead came from outside Kisii town ,” said Maina.
He also appealed to Kisii county government to expand all roads that get in and out of town to reduce congestion.
