Thika Township Administrator Jessica Mukundi addressing the riders on Tuesday said that the endless heavy congestions that are usually experienced at the stage can easily be avoided if the riders and the motorists could be more disciplined.

"I would like to appeal to all riders to ensure that they do not park their bicycles and motorcycles just anywhere more so on the roads where matatus leaving or coming to the stage uses. Picking and dropping passengers along the roads any how has also been a major cause of traffic that sometimes trails all the way to the major roads within town. That needs to be avoided too," said Mukundi.

Mukundi also urged motorists to make use of the available parking space at the stage well as they wait for their turn to pick passengers.

"This stage is big enough for both the motorists and all the bodaboda operators but carelessness in parking is already costing us a lot in terms of time and even money when traffic congestions continue to be the order of the day," she added.

The administrator warned that those will continue to flaunt the orders will be dealt with accordingly.
