Maseno University bodaboda operators are calling on the institution's management to repair the main route they use.
The operators who ply the college campus and Siriba campus route, say that the road is in a bad condition and something needs to be done immediately.
Through their chairman, Cleophas Ogolla they say the road has not undergone maintenance for a very long time something that has really in-convinced them.
"We are calling on the management to at least do some repairs on this road for smooth operations, because in this state we having difficulties in conducting our daily activities, where we earn our living", said Ogolla.
He said that with many potholes on the road and dust, they are forced to spend more on fuel, something that has a negative effect on their daily earnings.
"Our aim is to cut on costs in order to earn more , but here we spend more on fuel, and with that it is difficult to cut on costs. Additionally our motorbikes ware out faster than expected making them unroad worthy," added Ogolla.
Ogolla said that the situation is further complicated by the fact there is only one route to use while accessing Siriba campus where almost every lecture halls are located.
"During the dry season its dusty, and in the rainy season the road is muddy, while we charge the same amount for fare," said Ogolla.
Efforts to get a comment from the institutions management regarding the repair of the road were futile as the public relations officerwas not avialable to give a comment.
