Bodaboda operators in Eldoret town held a demonstration on Monday after their colleague was hit and killed by a speeding matatu.
The riders, led by the Turbo Bodaboda Sacco chairman Jeremiah Nyagosi said police in the town had failed to control over-speeding on roads.
"Whenever accidents occur, matatu drivers are never arrested," Nyagosi said.
"Our colleague got involved in an accident with a matatu and broke his leg, but when taken to the police station to record a statement, the blame was put on him and yet it was clear that the matatus was overlapping carelessly," he said.
Nyangosi said the police have taken advantage of the county by law which limits bodaboda operations past 11pm to harass and solicit bribes from them.
Reacting to their complains, Deputy County Commissioner, Ben Mandere said the authority is looking into to the matter and promised to a dress their issues.
"The suspects will be reprehended and dealt with by the authority," said Mandere.
