Manga police boss James Musyimi said riders have been ferrying chang'aa to unknown places because police officers at road blocks don't inspect them.

"Illicit brew dealers have been using motorbikes to ferry chang'aa to various places within Nyamira and outside Nyamira County.

"No rider will be allowed to pass at a road block without undergoing inspection to know the type that of goods being transported by the riders," he said.

Musyimi claimed that the riders do the illegal dealings at night and early in the morning when the officers are not at the road blocks.

He assured that police officers have been directed to be at the road blocks day and night to ensure no illegal businesses are ongoing.

"Security officers will be at road blocks 24 hours to arrest riders taking advantage of the officers' absence at road blocks to ferry chang'aa," he stated.
