A middle aged man who intervened to solve a marital difference between his sister and her husband before he was assaulted and seriously injured by his brother in-law is contemplating to take a legal action against the assailant. Timothy Karuga, a motorcycle taxi operator based at Teachers estate, according to police sources reported that he was called by his sister Beatrice Wamboi who requested him to go her matrimonial home at the neigbouring Makao estate to help solve a domestic problem between her and her husband James Waweru. His brother in-law who seemed drunkard however directed an accusing figure to the motorcycle operator as being the cause of their regular feuds. According to police in-charge of Teachers police post Mercy Musyoka,the complainant was attacked by his brother in-law while accusing him to be having an love affair with his sister. She said the assailant attacked the complainant using a stool and pushed him hard on the wall before he started kicking him in the face and abdomen. “He sustained serious injuries on the face and head and reported the matter to us. We advised him to seek medical attention and has since filled a P3form to guarantee the arrest of the assailant. He wants the matter to go to court,’’ said the police officer adding that police will arrest the assailant before launching further investigations.
