Speaking on Wednesday in Kiamunyi, chairman of the Kiamunyi riders Association, David Kiraho, said that the Naloki Matatu Sacco had violated the agreement by invading their territories.

Kiraho said that matatu drivers have started picking passengers deep from inside the estate, something he said that has denied them business.

He said that they had agreed that the Sacco matatus should only pick and drop passengers  at the main stage and allow bodaboda riders to ferry them to and from inside the estate.

“We want Naloki Sacco to stop locking us out of business by picking passengers from the estate because by doing so they are rendering us jobless. We signed an agreement early last year before the chief and they agreed to observe the agreement but they have violated it,” said Kiraho.

Kiraho added that if the Sacco is not stopped from picking passengers from inside the villages then close to 200 youth will be rendered idle.

“This stage has over 200 youth and if Naloki is not stopped from doing what they have started doing then soon we will have new 200 criminals in Kiamunyi,” he said.

Efforts to get a reaction from the Naloki Sacco management were futile as they were unavailable on phone.
