Kibera constituency MP, Ken Okoth, has urged bodaboda operators in the area to apply for loans so that they can be able to expand on their businesses.

Addressing Makina bodaboda operators in Makina Stage today, Okoth said that the operators can easily expand their business through loans and Saccos. The MP stated that the government is giving out development funds which he urged the operators to apply for.

''Consider applying for government funds and that will help you raise your families by opening up better businesses,'' he added.

Okoth said that most bodaboda riders are young people who are qualified for the Uwezo Fund despite the fact that they are not ready to go for the same. The legislator added that the constituency will be able to register development if young people take advantage of the development funds.

The MP vowed to promote the bodaboda industry saying that it has employed many youths who will have been jobless.
