Bodies of the children who were murdered after abduction in Kapsoya, Eldoret, will undergo forensic audit.

This is to ensure the exact cause of their murder is revealed, to help in the ongoing investigations.

Prosecutor Zachary Omwega said forensic audit is usually done in Nairobi hence more time needed in investigations.

Speaking after appearing in Court, over the case, Omwega said homicide officials had already been sent to Eldoret by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to help in the case.

"We want to know who did this criminal act and how many people were involved. Once we finish investigations and get all the culprits, the case will proceed," he added.

Appearing before Eldoret Chief Magistrate Charles Ombulutsa, Tuesday May 23, Omwega asked for additional ten days, to complete investigations.

He said, the suspect in the case, Enock Onsanze, the uncle to the kids, was earlier charged for abduction, when the kids disappeared. After they were found killed, Omwega said, the charges should be changed to murder, hence more time. The three sons to MCA aspirant James Ratemo, went missing on their way to an SDA church at Kapsoya estate, Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, May 13. Their bodies were later found floating on River Nzoia, Trans Nzoia county a few days later.
