Residents of Jogoo area, Kisii County were on Friday morning shocked after the lifeless body of a man was found dumped on the road.
Mr Gilbert Ombati the area chief yesterday confirmed the incident saying that he alerted the police immediately he was informed about the incident.
"We asked locals to visit the scene and identify the body but they could not. The police then collected the body and took it to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary," said the chief.
Mr Ombati said that the cause of the death is yet to be identified because the body did not have any physical injuries.
He asked members of the public whose relative could be missing to visit the mortuary and identify the body.
“Members of the public are free to visit KTRH mortuary to identify the body. It is possible that the man might have been killed elsewhere before his body was dumped,” he said.
This comes just a day after the body of a woman was found dumped in South Mugirango, Kisii County.
