Body of a man who drowned in river Athi on Feb 14 at Kyeleni area in Matungulu sub-county has been recovered.

The body was found on Feb 23 in the morning where the search had been going on since he drowned. 

According to area sub-chief Dominic Musau the man drowned when he was going about his daily work of catching fish from the river. 

The family was relieved after his body was found where other residents condoled with them and encouraged them to be strong. 

His body was taken to Kangundo level four hospital mortuary.
